The Confirmation II Retreat is a highlight for many of our students. Since we keep small groups and leaders together, by the time they get to Confirmation II, the small group really has become a family. The students enjoy going away and spending the weekend together learning, growing, praying, and spending time together. In lieu of this, we only offer one retreat for students in Confirmation II so that the whole small group can be together.
Due to Covid-19 this year we will not be hosting over night retreats. Instead the Confirmation retreat will be a one day retreat on CtR's campus. We will bring the best parts of retreat together and still give students an opportunity to learn, grow, pray, and be with each other. Please see below for specific information.

We normally have the Confirmation II retreat over MLK weekend to give students an opportunity to not stress about homework since they have Monday off. This was the date we gave at the end of last year so this year's Confirmation II retreat will be on Saturday January 16, 2021 from 9:30am-9:30pm. Check-in begins at 9am in the RAC. Students must attend the entirity of the retreat.
Masks will be worn during the day in all buildings and social distancing will be enforced depending on the guidelines at the time of retreat.
Students will be rotated through different activities to ensure social distancing, not be around as many people, and to give time for brain and body breaks.
Cost of the retreat is $45 per child and will go towards supplies, food, and sanitizing expenses.
Students will be placed in their normal Encounter small group for retreat. Students who are virtual will be placed in a group they were with before, or added to a group for the day.
We will be providing lunch and dinner for our students as well as an afternoon snack.
Meals and snacks will all be prepackaged or brought in to not spread germs as much as possible. If you have specific eating issues and would prefer to bring in your own food, you are more than welcome to do so.
Q. Can I pick up or drop off my student early/late?
A. No, our retreat policy across the board is that students must attend the entirety of the retreat. It is especially important this year since we're just doing a day long retreat in order to have the full expeirence..
Q. My child is immuno comprimised, I'm not sure how I feel about them attending.
A. Please contact Rachel directly to discuss your family situation.
Q. We can't make the retreat date. Will you be offering an alternate retreat?
A. No, we will not be offering more than one Confirmation II retreat. If the date doesn't work for you, you'll need to find an alternate retreat date at another Catholic parish in our archdiocese. Contact Rachel to inquire about the retreats she's aware of, and email her with alternate retreat offerings for approval.
