Each student must complete a one-on-one Confirmation interview before recieving the sacrament of Confirmation. Students working with a mentor will complete their interview with their mentor. Those who chose large group for proximate preparation will schedule an interview with the Youth Ministry Department.
Interviews will take place starting the week of spring break and each student must sign up and attend one of the time slots. Interviews are scheduled in 30 minute time slots and will not go over half an hour.
Please make sure your child is prepared by having them use the Study Guide (found below) as a way to prepare for their interview.
We don't want the students to be super stressed about the interview but we would like them to be able to articulate why they want to get confirmed and to know/ understand their faith.
Registration for Confirmation Interviews is only for students who are in large group for proximate preparation. Students who have a mentor for proximate preparation will have their interview with their mentor.
Interview sign-ups will open the first week of March. You can sign up for a Confirmation Interview by first selecting which week you are available, and then pick an option from the sign up genius. Please only select 1 option. We have volunteers who come in to interview our students so please show up when you've signed up. If something happens, please cancel your spot online and sign up for a new one. We will not be adding additional spots.
Please make sure your child is prepared by having them use the Study Guide (found below) as a way to prepare for their interview.
Registration buttons will be active the first week of March.
Interviews during the week of Spring break will be conducted in the RAC and after spring break will be conducted in the main Parish Offices (near the Chapel). Please click on this link to view a campus map if you are unsure of where to go.
Students will arrive and check in with the receptionist on duty.
Confirmation interviews are given by volunteers. The youth ministry staff is joined by Core team members, deacons, and other adults in the parish who volunteer their time to spend with our students. Every person is given an outline for the interview but depending on the conversation with the young person, they may ask different questions.
We don't want the students to be super stressed about the interview but we would like them to be able to articulate why they want to get confirmed and to know/ understand their faith. We want them to succeed! Please make sure you pass along the study guide and help them to prepare for it.
