Stacie McKay was born in Rochester, New York, but as they say, “moved to Texas as fast as she could” with her parents at age 5. Since the third grade, her family has resided in Cypress, being one of the Founding Families of Christ the Redeemer. She fondly remembers the days of stacking chairs at “St. Millsap” after Sunday Mass. Stacie is the eldest of six children, and while she doesn’t have kids of her own, she helped raise her younger siblings. She even became an Assistant Youth Minister here at CtR when her younger sisters were in high school. She taught Confirmation classes here and in the many places she lived. She is now a proud Auntie to a spitfire niece and three nephews.
After moving often while working in the corporate world, she returned to the Cypress area and was hired by her “home parish” as a Pastoral Associate. She moved over to Youth Ministry after about 11 years and loves being with the youth again.
Stacie loves dancing, singing, dogs, genealogy and giving of her time to others. She enjoys watching baseball, lacrosse and rugby. She spends most of her time working on genealogy for her family and friends and volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the Cypress Historical Society.
